RADIANT participates in the annual Responsible Electronics portfolio meeting in Grenoble
RADIANT joined partners from across Europe in Grenoble for the annual meeting of the Responsible Electronics project portfolio, strengthening collaboration in the projects’ joint quest for a more sustainable electronics industry.
On 5–6 February 2026, the Responsible Electronics portfolio, funded by the European Innovation Council’s (EIC) Pathfinder Challenges programme, held its annual meeting at Grenoble INP in France, bringing together representatives from the portfolio’s 10 projects, including the newly joined BayFlex project.
From the RADIANT consortium, four representatives attended the meeting, each contributing to one of the portfolio’s Working Groups (WGs):
– WG1: Technical Synergies
– WG2: Outreach and Public Engagement
– WG3: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Sustainability Metrics
– WG4: Protection and Exploitation
The first day of the meeting focused on project presentations, updates from the activities of the WGs, and a plenary session with invited experts. The day also included a round table discussion on the commercialisation of deep-tech in responsible electronics, featuring representatives from four spin-off companies based in Grenoble and offering insights to the participants into the transition from research to market.
The second day was dedicated to parallel sessions of the WGs, where attendees discussed upcoming activities. The conclusions of these discussions were shared in a joint session with the whole group. The meeting concluded with laboratory visits to the Center for Radiofrequencies, Optics and Micro-Nanoelectronics of the Alps (CROMA) and CIME Nanotech, a joint technological platform of Grenoble INP and Université Grenoble Alpes.
RADIANT thanks the whole Responsible Electronics portfolio for the productive two days and looks forward to continued collaboration with the other portfolio projects, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient future for the eletronics industry.
