Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC)

The Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) is part of the Spanish Council of Scientific Research (CSIC) located at the campus of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. ICMAB is a multidisciplinary research center focused on cutting-edge research in functional advanced materials in the fields of energy, electronics, and nanomedicine. ICMAB-CSIC coordinates the RADIANT project, while also bringing expertise in nanophotonic architectures, particularly those created via scalable approaches. 

University of Vigo (UVIGO) 

The University of Vigo (UVIGO) is present in the municipalities of Ourense, Pontevedra and Vigo in Spain, with three specialised campuses and more than 30 centres for training and research. The university has been built on positive values, based on transparency and good management, integration, equality, diversity and respect for the environment. It is committed to specialisation, quality research, and advancing the social and economic environment.

Lund University (LUND)

Lund University (LUND) is one of Scandinavia’s leading institutions for education and research. Located in Sweden, it is renowned for its interdisciplinary research environment and strong collaboration with industry and society. Hosting cutting-edge facilities such as MAX IV, the world’s first 4th generation synchrotron, and the upcoming European Spallation Source, LUND is a hub for advanced materials science and nanotechnology. The Nanochemistry and Spectroscopy group at LUND’s Division of Chemical Physics brings its expertise in colloidal nanomaterials and self-assembly to the RADIANT project. 

University of Valencia (UVEG) 

The University of Valencia (UVEG) is a Spanish first-rate academic institution with an important international projection. It was positioned among the 200–300 best universities in the world and the 2–4 in Spain, according to the ShanghaiRanking of 2014. The university has generalist interests and therefore its research addresses all fields of knowledge, from humanities and basic sciences and engineering to health sciences, social sciences and education. 

Jaume I University (UJI)

The mission of the Jaume I University (UJI) is to further knowledge by conducting high-quality research that is capable of reaching society, as well as attracting research talent and external funding. Since its establisment in 1991, the university has earned a reputation for serious and relevant scientific work which has allowed it to be included in tier 601–700 of the top universities in the world according to the ShanghaiRanking of 2023 and among the exclusive group of the best young universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Ranking 2023.

Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) 

Fondazione Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT—Italian Institute of Technology) is a scientific research center established in 2003, aiming to promote excellence in both basic and applied research and to facilitate the economic development at the national level. IIT has vast experience in managing and supervising research projects with a portfolio of more than 850 external funded competitive research projects. IIT has produced more than 20,000 publications and 424 inventions resulting in 1,335 active patents and the creation of 34 start-ups. Research is carried out in the Central Research Laboratories in Genoa (IIT headquarters), in 16 centers across Italy and in two outstations in the United States. 

Zirka InnoTech (ZKI) 

Zirka InnoTech is a consulting firm in Madrid that provides business development services for the innovation ecosystem. Its mission is to help resolve the funding barriers and difficulties faced by companies, R&D centres, and universities while scaling up their innovation or bringing new products or services to the market. Moreover, Zirka InnoTech helps its clients with partner identification, technology marketing and promotion, business model definition, and technology valorisation.
