RADIANT joins Responsible Electronics summer school in Krakow

Members of the RADIANT team took part in the Responsible Electronics (ReTronics) summer school in Krakow, Poland, in August, connecting with fellow researchers and innovators shaping the future of sustainable electronics.

On 26–29 August 2025, the Responsible Electronics project portfolio (ReTronics) — a collection of projects funded under the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pathfinder Programme working to improve the sustainability of the electronics industry — hosted a summer school dedicated to advancing research and innovation in the field of responsible electronics. The event was organised by the STELEC project and brought together young scientists, entrepreneurs, and project partners in Krakow, Poland.

From the RADIANT consortium, members of the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) team attended the event, contributing to the dynamic programme with a presentation on the RADIANT project. Participants also joined the EIC Entrepreneurship Special Event, exploring the path from research to innovation.

Feedback from attendees was positive. Participants described the summer school as dynamic and engaging, highlighting both the quality of the scientific sessions and those focusing on entrepreneurship. The format fostered meaningful exchange between students, postdocs, and more senior researchers — with many expressing hope that the event will return next year.
