Unlocking the potential of chiral LEDs
The RADIANT project develops effective and affordable LED technology

Integrating photonic nanostructures in LED technologies
RADIANT gives LEDs a competitive edge with chirality
RADIANT is a research project funded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) ‘s Pathfinder Challenges programme. It aims to relieve the environmental burden of LED technology while also improving its competitiveness.
RADIANT incorporates the property of chirality into three emerging LED technologies: organic, perovskite, and quantum dot-based, significantly enhancing LED performance and reducing production costs.
Meet the RADIANT team
State-of-the-art expertise from across Europe
The multidisciplinary RADIANT consortium has expertise in photonics, chemistry, device fabrication, technology transfer, and science communication. Our seven partner institutions are based in three European countries, all working together to take LED technology to a new level.
Projects joining efforts for a common cause
Collaboration to reduce the enviromental burden of electronics
Together with eight other projects, RADIANT is part of the EIC Pathfinder 2023 programme’s Responsible Electronics portfolio. The portfolio projects share the goal of creating opportunities for a more sustainable electronics industry, each with its unique approach.
